List of korean foods you should try when you visit korea

Korea has many unique foods and unique flavor in every foods. Most of Korean foods always have interesting appearance that will make us curious with the taste of the food.  And here are Korean foods that you should try when you visit korea.

  1. 떡볶이 (Tteokbokk-i)

This one popular food could found everywhere. We can meet this food in the street stall, in the restaurant or snack bar. Tteokbokk-I   consists of tteok or chewy rice cake cooked with seasoning gochujang  spicy and sweet, served with fish cake, and boiled egg

2. 김밥 (Kimbap)

Kimbap made from rice packed with sea-weed and served with kimchi and squid. This one is really popular because we can packed and bring this easily. Kimbap is popular as a dish brought for picnic, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

3. 순대 (Soondae)

Soondae is a popular street food in korea. Generally made by steaming cow or pig’s intestines stuffed with various ingredients and served with steamed offals such as liver and lung. Soondae also dipped in tteobokki  sauce because soondae often sold in snack bar along with tteobokki.

4. 치맥 (Chimaek)

Chimaek is stand for chicken and beer.  This fried chicken is different from American fried chicken. Korean fried chicken is fried chicken seasoned with special spice. This fried chicken is different from other fried chicken because it is fried twice and it makes the chicken more crispy and oily. And it is suit to be eaten together with your friends and family!

5. 막파 (Makpa)

Makpa is stand for makgeolli and pajeon. Makgeolli  is a tradisional alcohol, makgeolli  is perfect complement for pajeon  but certainly we can enjoy pajeon without makgeolli. Pajeon is a pancake made from dough consists of egg, flour, rice flour, leek, and other ingredients such meat.

6. 팥빙수 (Patbingsu)

Patbingsu is Korean dessert that is really favored by many people, especially in the summer days.  There are many variants of patbingsu. One of the variant here is patbingsu with red bean and sweetened condensed milk.

7. 짜장면 (Jjajangmyeon)

Jjajangmyeon is a Korean chinese food noodle dish. It is black soybean paste sauce noodle. And uses seafood for variant of the dish. We can meet this in the restaurant.

8. 냉면 (Naengmyeon)

Naengmyeon  is wheat noodles served with cold beef broth. This dish is most loved in the summer days. most Korean people eat nangmyeon in the restaurant. It is rarely they make it at home, or we can also buy instan in the supermarket.

9. 칼국수 (Kalguksu)

Kalguksu is a Korean noodle dish consisting of handmade. This noodle dish served with meat or seafood. This Korean noodle most consumed in summer days.

10. 비빔밥 (Bibimbap)

Bibimbap is Korean food that most contain of many dishes.  Bibimbap contain of white rice with dishes on the top of rice such as vegetables, meat, egg, and gochujang sauce.
